Whenever you talk about the universe you have to dive into who created it. When you begin to discuss this you find yourself in the creation / evolution debate. In reality there is no debate but a lot of mixed up people. And definitely as a Christian there is no debate; In the beginning God… One person said it is two religions, creation and evolution. I would like to add that there is no middle ground. Creation says God is so indescribable, so big that with the words of His mouth He created; end of story. The evolutionist says there is no God and everything just evolved by whatever the latest method is. The question is as a Christian how can you accept these ludicrous theories. The answer is you can’t. It should turn your stomach when you hear people talk about theistic evolution. God does not need evolution to create. This theory is for those who don’t know what they believe. This middle ground is very dangerous. Did God or didn’t he speak this world into existence? One day it wasn’t and then six days later -WOW! When you grasp Genesis 1 you then become a radical Christian who serves an indescribable God. Let’s take this a step further. If you cannot grasp Genesis 1 (The Beginning) “1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” you cannot grasp John 1 (The Word Became Flesh) “1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” If you do not accept the first Adam you will definitely not be able to accept the second. 1 Corinthians 15:45 “So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. 46 The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. 47 The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven. 48 As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven. 49 And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly man.” We had better start believing from the beginning and stop letting the unbelief of the world influence our biblical beliefs. The worldview does not shape our biblical view of the world. The bible from beginning to end is our life. Our belief in God starts with Genesis 1:1.
