What was known before as The Rock Wesleyan Church has now become “THE ROCK”. Our website is still the same just a different name. This change is not just a name change but more about a statement of faith. THE ROCK has always been an acronym meaning Repentance, Obedience, Christ-like and Kingdom of priests, but now we are putting our trust in God wholeheartedly and we will honour God as holy with our faith. We are no longer under the umbrella of the Wesleyan Church but independent of man and totally dependant on God and His word. This statement simply means as stated below that we believe God's word and that we will submit to the headship of our Lord Jesus Christ and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. We will continue to stand upon His word and know that God is faithful to His word. We are not looking to start a new denomination but we join with the remnant to do what the first one has told us to do. So we return to the New Testament church as laid out in scripture and expect the same results as we wait upon the Holy Spirit to clothe us with power from on high. We believe Acts 1:8 that we will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on us; and we will be His witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
